Q  What are your prices?

Are your prices the same for all the instruments?

A  We charge $80/hr for voice lessons, $70/hr for violin lessons and $60/hr for piano lessons.

Q  How often do the lessons take place? 

A  We normally maintain weekly lessons, unless extra lessons are requested.

 

Q  Is full-time attendance required?

A  Yes, it's required for children because they need regular instructions. Adults could attend biweekly lessons.

 

Q  Is it time different every week or do we get a spot in the schedule?

A  Everyone gets a weekly spot in our schedule.

Q  Do you do makeup lessons in case we have a conflict in our schedule?  

A  Yes, we do makeups; student families are required to notify us at least 24 hours in advance with the exception of a medical emergency.

 

Q  Do you continue doing lessons in the summer? 

A  Yes, we do. We provide lessons all year around.

 

Q  What if we go out of town for a week or two during the summer, what happens to those lessons?

A  We make them up during the weeks when you are in town.

 

Q  Is there an initial registration fee and recurrent registration fees every year? 

A  No, we do not charge any registration fees, neither initial nor yearly.

 

Q Do you provide a trial lesson and how much does it cost? 

A  Our trial lessons are free. We are happy to meet you!

 

Q Do you do recitals or any other performances? And how often?

A  Yes, we do have a full studio recital twice a year and smaller recitals between them.

Q  Do you do audition preparations? 

 Do you help with college auditions?

A  Yes, we do provide help to our students to prepare for different auditions, for example honor orchestra, after school orchestras, GMEA events (such is All State), as well as college auditions.

Q  Do you enter your students into competitions?

A  Yes we do. We enter our students into different types of competitions, such as local, regional, and state.

 

Q  How many teachers do you have and how many years of experience each of them has? 

A  We have several instructors. Our two senior teachers are Ms. Irene and Mr. Matvey. Each of them has over thirty years of teaching and performing experience.

 

Q  Do all your teachers have college degrees? 

A   Yes, all our teachers have college degrees.

 

Q  Where did your teachers get their education?

A   Both Ms. Irene and Mr. Matvey are St Petersburg State Conservatory alumni (Russia). Mr. Matvey has also completed advanced doctoral coursework at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
